As Bjorn is dog that has many potential, especially for show rings, we push him into that. His first steps on show ground was at IDS Bled in 2017. He was about 6 months old and was in puppy class. I remember it as a hot as hell day. He got "Very perspective" grade and Puppy Best of Breed with description of very nice head, excellent topline and angulations and great, long steps.
Later in that year he was Best in Speciality Show Puppy, winning that title on Speciality for White Swiss Shepherds in Karlovac (under judgement of Mr. Laurent Pichard - breed specialist). There I found out that this little guy just shine like a star in show rings.
For sure he has days when his mood is not very working, but we are just the same. Dogs are not very different from people. Every of us have sometimes "hard" days.
If I am honest, a lot of people ask me how much preparation I put in him. Stacking dogs and flying in the ring is not that simple, specially for young and playfull dogs. I always answer - nothing. When he was youngster we were practicing show dressage about an hour in whole week, maybe even that not. I think he always knew what he need to do.
I never gave him to some handlers or other people, because he feels the best with me. We have a really special bond, we trust each other and that's all that matters.
Bjorn has closed 11 Championships for now. And we still have some open (Hungary, Grand Croatia, Slovakia). But yes, for us is very strange not to be in ring for a long time. I'm not forcing him nothing to do, I just grab our show stuff and he get crazy running to the car.
